Ms. Kianji is a Principal Legal Officer in charge of regulatory development and compliance at the Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA). Ms Kianji has over 16 years of experience as a legal practitioner and an expert in legislative drafting, legal audit and compliance, nuclear law, environmental policy and law, civil and criminal litigation, project management, ISO auditing and management of Quality Management Systems; risk management, research, and economic analysis. Ms Kianji holds a Bachelor in Law from the University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, a Diploma in Project Management from the Kenya Institute of Management, a Diploma in International Nuclear Law (University of Montpelier, France), a Diploma in Information Management Systems (IMIS, UK), amongst several certificate courses from local and international institutions including the Senior Management Course (KSG, Kenya), Integrated Environmental Impact Assessment Audit (KSG, Kenya), Fundamentals of Nuclear Technology (Texas A & M University, USA), Nuclear Energy Management(Japan), Knowledge Management (ICTP, Italy), and ISO Audit (KEBS, Kenya). She is undertaking a Master in Science Engineering (Interdisciplinary course) in Technology Management Economics and Policy at the Seoul National University, South Korea. Ms Kianji is a professional member of the Law Society of Kenya, the Eastern Africa Association for Radiation Protection (EAARP) and a member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya.
